On Monday, April 22 in Warsaw, we held a workshop on “Procurement Proceedings in the Offshore Wind Energy Area”. During the meeting, knowledge of the requirements, as well as practical aspects related to offshore wind power executive contracts was presented by Piotr Gowik of PGE Baltica and the Crido Team.

Offshore energy is a key direction of transformation of the Polish energy sector. The energy potential of the Polish part of the Baltic Sea is considered one of the largest in Europe. Offshore wind energy therefore has a chance to become a pillar of the energy transformation of the Polish economy, providing clean and cheap energy for Poles.

We concluded the workshop with a discussion of the experience of completed contracts under Phase I of offshore wind in Poland and the good practices desired by both sides (ordering party and suppliers). The roundtable discussion was moderated by Maciej Stryjecki, President of ASE Offshore and member of the Wind Industry Hub Program Council.
