On Wednesday, February 5, a meeting was held between Dominika Taranko and Piotr Czopek and Minister of Development and Technology Krzysztof Paszyk and Secretary of State at the Ministry of Climate and Environment Milosz Motyka. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the possibilities of implementing the Polish Offshore Wind Industry Development Strategy and to discuss cooperation with both ministries.

An expert team of the Wind Industry Hub, the Polish Wind Energy Association and CEE Energy Group has prepared the Polish Offshore Wind Farm Industry Development Strategy. The document discusses the importance of offshore wind energy in increasing the supply of cheap and clean energy in Poland, summarizes the context of the strategic position of the offshore wind industry in the European Union, focuses on drawing lessons from the first national experience in building offshore wind farms, and identifies systemic solutions needed to be implemented to make offshore wind farms an engine for the development of the Polish economy.

At the center of the document are the Priority Implementation Programs – a set of key market segments that (as determined by detailed analyses of the market and economics, experience, synergies and safety aspects) should be developed in Poland.
