On April 17, 2025, the Polish Wind Energy Association (PSEW) and the Wind Industry Hub (WIH) Foundation presented the “Polish Strategy for the Development of the Offshore Wind Farm Industry“. It is the first and only comprehensive roadmap for national industrial policy in the offshore wind sector in Poland.
Donald Tusk announces the end of “naive globalization” and puts a white and red flag on our economy – Polish companies must participate in projects that are key to the national economy. The development of offshore wind energy is currently the driving force behind the Polish economy. The wind industry is ready to meet the government’s policy by working for the benefit of the domestic industry.
The investment campaign in offshore wind farms is unlike any other development project in modern Poland. We are talking about PLN 300 billion in capital expenditure by 2040. If we add to this the billions of investments in onshore wind energy, we get a picture of the largest energy transition project in the country’s history — a development impulse that can not only modernize the Polish economy, but also ensure its competitiveness for decades and create thousands of jobs in the industries of the future. says Janusz Gajowiecki, president of PSEW and WIH.
The lack of a government document defining key technologies and investment areas for the Polish economy is already seen as one of the greatest threats to the development of the national supply chain. The lack of a transparent, long-term schedule for strategic projects for Poland and a plan for their implementation may also have a negative impact on the country’s energy security, which is why we have developed a document that highlights the wind industry’s contribution to Polish industrial policy,” says Dominika Taranko, Vice President of Wind Industry Hub.
