On Monday, February 3, PWEA and Wind Industry Hub Vice President Piotr Czopek was one of the panelists in the debate on investments and regulations in the energy industry during EEC Trends. In his speech, the expert pointed out, among other things, that Poland lacks a concrete vision for the development of the industry. Piotr Czopek stressed that the time has come for bold decisions and actions that will provide long-term benefits to the Polish economy:
“In Poland we do not have an industrial policy. For the Polish economy to develop we must have cheap energy, investments are needed. To accelerate the development of RES, planning and efficiency are key. We need decisions that will give investors the green light to increase wind energy volumes.”
EEC Trends is an open, intensive, multi-threaded debate on the Polish economy – encapsulated in a one-day series of discussions and meetings of representatives of business, politics, science and the expert community. It is at the same time a prologue of the 17th European Economic Congress (EEC, April 23-25, 2025, Katowice) and a milestone in the process of building the agenda of Central Europe’s largest economic debate.
