On March 30, 2025, a contract was oficially signed in Gdynia between Ocean Winds and CRIST Offshore Sp. z o.o., under which the Gdynia-based company will build an offshore substation (OSS) for the BC-Wind project. The station is scheduled for completion in 2027 and will guarantee 400 jobs 💡

The conclusion of such an important contract is a clear signal that domestic companies are already ready to compete with foreign suppliers. This is also great news for the entire Polish supply chain, as the domestic Tier 1 supplier will be happy to use the services of local subcontractors, which will undoubtedly create more jobs in the region and generate added value for the entire economy 💡

The increase in the number of Tier 1 suppliers for offshore wind projects in the Baltic Sea is also the goal of the Polish Offshore Wind Farm Industry Strategy, which we are constantly working on implementing. Signing the contract is an important milestone, but at the same time it is only the beginning of building a strong and competitive OWE industry in Poland 💡

We would like to congratulate CRIST Offshore Sp. z o.o. and Ocean Winds on signing the contract and keep our fingers crossed for more great news 🤩
