BASIC INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROJECT AND THE INVESTOR

Equinor and Polenergia are jointly developing three Bałtyk offshore wind farm projects in the Polish sea, with a total capacity of up to 3,000 MW.

The Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 projects, which are in the first phase of offshore wind power development in Poland, are located in the Polish exclusive economic zone of the Baltic Sea, between 22 and 37 kilometers from the coastline. The first energy from the two projects is expected to flow into the grid as early as 2027, the commercial phase of their operation is planned from 2028.

In the next phase of offshore wind power development in Poland, Equinor and Polenergia are developing the Bałtyk 1 project, which will be 81 km from the shore. Bałtyk 1, with a capacity of up to 1560 MW, is the project of the largest wind farm in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea, which is being prepared for auction in 2025.

The Bałtyk offshore wind farm will power more than 4 million households with green energy.

The contracting phase for the Bałtyk 1 project has been scheduled for 2025-2027, while the delivery of products and services is planned for 2030-2031.

Ramboll Polska and Wind Industry Hub were asked to conduct a survey among potential participants in the Project’s supply chain.
