A workshop organized by The World Bank Group titled“Building Climate Change Resilience in Poland- Risks and Opportunities for the Private Sector” was held in Warsaw on April 10 to discuss project financing in renewable energy.

The discussion was held in 3 tables: industry, energy and finance. Vice President of the Wind Industry Hub (WIH), PhD Arkadiusz Sekstinski took part in the debate, pointing out the many challenges of financing investments in onshore and offshore wind, also due to the issue of risks, which are assessed inside banks and financial institutions.

As part of the Country Climate and Development Report, the impact of climate change and climate policy on development outcomes was assessed, and policies and investments were recommended to achieve low-carbon, resilient development.

Representatives of The World Bank Group and other representatives of the financial segment have announced their participation in the PWEA2024 Conference on June 4-6, 2024 in Swinoujscie.
