Press conference on the vision of the development of the wind industry in Poland - "Wind drives flagship investments"

It’s only been a month since the inaugural conference for the establishment of WIH, and we’ve already ramped up full speed. Two important events for the Wind Industry Hub Foundation took place on 16.02.2024.

The first is the appointment and meeting of the Program Council, consisting of: Malgosia Bartosik, Maciej Mierzwinski, Maciej Stryjecki and Prof. Konrad Swirski.

Shortly after the meeting of the Program Council, a press conference was held on the vision of the development of the wind industry in Poland – “Wind drives flagship investments”.

Dominika Taranko, Vice President of WIH showed how wind drives flagship industrial investments in Poland. Malgosia Bartosik, Deputy Director General of WindEurope indicated European ambitions in the area of wind power supply chain. Piotr Czopek, Director of Regulatory Affairs with PWEA hinted at how to grow Tier-1 for offshore wind projects in the Baltic Sea.

We would like to thank Jagna Kubanska-Lyczakowska of Vestas for sharing her experience and pointing out what is needed to build a strong supply chain, and Jakub Wnuczynski of Baltic Towers, who presented plans related to the Offshore Wind Tower Factory in Gdansk.
