On September 25th Vice President and Managing Director of Wind Industry Hub, Dominika Taranko, took part in a panel discussion titled “Renewable energy sources as the new foundation of Poland’s energy system” during the 10th anniversary DISE Energy Congress in Wrocław.
The discussion covered the following topics:
- The share of RES generation in Poland’s energy mix in the 2030 and 2050 perspective?
- The optimal mix of RES technologies to ensure stable operation of the NPS
- Competitiveness of RES sources with respect to other power generation technologies in Poland
- Potential for the development of onshore wind energy in Poland and the changes in regulations necessary to achieve it
- Second phase of offshore investment – partnerships, financing models, required development of NPS
- Conditions for further development of photovoltaics in Poland – limitation of PV redispatch, cooperation with energy storage, direct lines
